• ABOUT DD FREE DISH-

DD FREE DISH India ka ek aisa DTH h jo aapko Liftime FREE TO AIR channels provide karwata h. Iski starting DD DIRECT+ name se December 2004 se hui thi. DD FREE DISH DTH service is owned and operated by Public Service Broadcaster PRASAR BHARTI ( DOORDARSHAN ).

Doordarshan’s DTH service which known as DD Free Dish was launched in December 2004 with the modest capacity of 33 channels. This service was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister of India. DD Free Dish has been upgraded from time to time. At present its capacity is 88 SDTV channels & 20 HDTV along with 40 Radio channels. DD Free Dish is available in Ku-Band on GSAT-15 (at 93.5°E). This Ku-Band DTH service provides the TV coverage throughout the Indian territory (except Andaman & Nicobar Islands). DTH signals can be received through a small sized dish receive system ( i.e. Set Top Box and Dish of size of 60 to 90 cm in diameter) for which no monthly subscription fee is payable by the viewers.

• WHAT IS ICAS SET-TOP BOX IN DD FREE DISH

iCAS is an Indian Conditional Access System, which is an initiative of Government of India in line with Make in India and Digital India. The introduction of iCAS will make DD Free Dish an addressable system. Viewers will have to register with DD Free Dish on getting iCAS enabled Set-Top-Box. However, the DD Free Dish platform will remain ‘Free to Air’ and viewer will not be required to pay monthly or annual subscription.

Ye icas box ek standard box h. Jisme aap HD channels ka maza nhi le sakte. Iske saath saath abhi tak dd free dish ki service ko iske according nhi banaya gya. Agar aap lena chahte ho isko le sakte ho lekin mere idea se isko abhi purchase karna idiotically hoga. Market me jab iska hd standard ka modul available hoga to aap le sakte ho.
